Hello guys! How are you today? It's ridiculously hot,isn't it? This is the last time we post on the blog and I was thinking what will hapen with this account next?!Maybe in future I will sign in and read some posts . But this will happen after the exams . I want to share some opinions that I have about this subject . At the very beginning all the steps that we had to complete sounded strange to me but by passing of weeks everything was more clear and every week I learned something new to do . Now , at the end of this semester I have realized the importance of using technology in a proper way and definetly I will use tecnology in my future class . I can say that this subject was one of my favourite one and also I have been taught to respect the schedule and always be in time . I want to thank you all about your comments on the blog and the participation on project .Wish you good luck in the exams !!!  ;) :)

Hello everyone ! I want to share something with you . Read it :)  “By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.” – Confucius It is easy for teachers to spend so much time and energy focused on their students’ progress that they forget to consider their own performance. Self reflection can be a valuable tool that helps make you aware of how you are teaching, which in turn makes you a better teacher. Teaching without reflection is teaching blind – without any knowledge of effectiveness. It can be difficult and time consuming for teachers to scrutinize their performance, but like any other occupation it is essential for improvement. Asking deliberate questions, reflecting on the answers, then implementing changes on how you approach your teaching based on your reflection  differentiates decent teachers from great teachers.

                                 Hello bloggers !                                                                             How are you? This is the 9th week and our assignment is to describe our project in details .As I have said my topic is FOOD IDIOMS and the date of our presentation is coming soon .We have already finished our project and we are waiting the day of presentation . In lesson we are going to use three technological tools which are :the board, a PowerPoint presentation and a video at the very beggining to introduce the topic . Also , at the end we will play a game all together that has to do with food idioms , of course .

Even If I 'm fun of technology in today's classroom, teachers are pressed to make every minute count. If the teacher and students are not experienced with technology in the classroom, valuable time is often wasted on technical troubles. In addition, the teacher faces the difficulty of having a class full of students who are all at different skill levels. In some schools, most students will have a computer and Internet access, but schools that are located in impoverished areas may have a large portion of their student body with little to no computer experience. While it is important to educate these children in technology, it must be done at a pace that meets every individual's needs or more learning time will be wasted.

Hi bloggers !!!   The ESL skills that I have focused on my lesson is speaking and listening . Here I have some advantages of both :  Advantages of using speaking tasks in the language classroom. ADVANTAGE 1: Speaking provides opportunities to practice all four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing). ADVANTAGE 2: Speaking supports development of critical thinking skills. ADVANTAGE 3: Speaking promotes learning.                                                                             Hello everyone !  The assignment for this week was stressful for me because I had to organize all my ideas about this project . But , It was also the most important step for our final presentation . Now I am clear about the goals , student needs , setting and activities that I am going to use .Although I as student have faced difficulties in learning idioms , I strongly believe that my students will learn idioms in a easier way . My topic for this project is "FOOD IDIOMS " and I am going to teach food idioms at students that have achieved intermediate level .

Hi guys !!! This week our assignment was to create a WebQuest . The  WebQuests promote student motivation and authenticity, develop thinking skills, and encourage cooperative learning . WebQuests increase student motivation by providing an essential question, real-life resources with which to work, and opportunities to work in cooperative groups. WebQuests, by their very nature, encourage the development of thinking skills. The assigned task requires students to “transform information into something else: a cluster that maps out the major issues, a comparison, a hypothesis, a solution, etc. I think that this video will help you to understand the importance of  WebQuests.

Hi Bloggers !!! It is known that children have various learning styles . They build their knowledge on varying backgrounds and their experiences . It is also recognized that children have a broader range of capabilities that they have permitted to show in regular classrooms with traditional text based focus . PBL adresses these differences , because students must use all modalities in the process of researching and resolving a problem, the communicating the solution .  PBL and the use of technology it is very essential beacause enables students , teachers and administrators to reach out beyond the school building . Students become engaged builders of a new knowledge base and become active ,lifelong learners.

Hello!!!! Something useful that I learnt from this assignment was that exercise generator programms exist and that everyone of us can have online access or dowload them to create different exercises that can be printed or filled online . These programms are really interesting and useful ,especially for us as future teachers. Before this assignment what I used to do was to print different exercises that I found on the internet and sometimes , I faced difficulty in finding appropriate materials for each student , but now I know "the secret" . Of course , It isn't easy for me to use these programms but by creating different exercises and practicing it I'm sure that I will be an expert :P ;)

I recently watched the video of Kagan structures of cooperative learning and found the ideas amazing For proponents of alternative teaching styles, Kagan has become one of the most revolutionary learning strategies . The ideas of Kagan are about getting our students involved and interacting with each other. What I watched on the video was a kind of teaching and learning quite different from that that we are used to . Students are not sitting on the rows , they are not asked to be quiet but the only thing that teacher is doing to give them instructions and help them . Students from different races, sexes and abilities are all enjoying the lesson . Some benefits of kagan structures are that students produce higher achievements , they have more pozitive relationships and a wider circle of friends . In addition , students produce greater intrinsic motivation , higher self-esteem and greater social suppoort. On the other hand , moving towards the disadvantages of cooperative learning ...
